- Assist with stream augmentation inspections and help clients maintain compliance.
- Support senior staff during stream mitigation activities in the field.
- Collection of field samples of water, soil or other media in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance or CESO standard operating procedures.
- Document characteristics of media such as color, pH, conductivity, and temperature.
- Assemble, operate and maintain field instruments and equipment.
- Prepare field notes and sketches.
- Complete data entry and manage large datasets produced from field sampling.
- Collect quality control samples which may include trip blanks, field duplicates and matrix spike duplicates.
- Coordinate landowner access.
- Support other field services such as wetland delineation, stream assessments, and habitat evaluations.
- Follows CESO and client mandated safety requirements and is safety conscious at all times.

- Strong interest in natural resources work.
- Ability to perform field duties in variable weather conditions.
- Ability to hike through uneven terrain sometimes while carrying field instruments.

A CESO Environmental Intern is primarily responsible for assisting the environmental team in determining and monitoring the existing environmental conditions at and surrounding project sites through field and office activities.
