    Overview

    The CNC Fitter/Operator is responsible for operating CNC mills, lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The fitter ensures machines run efficiently, parts meet quality standards, and production targets are achieved while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up machine and tooling for operation according to Work Instructions and Tooling List.
    • Meet daily production targets with consistent part quality.
    • Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
    • Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements.
    • Perform machine routine preventive maintenance.
    • Identify and report machine malfunctions or tool wear.
    • Communicate with supervisor, CADCAM programmers, and quality inspectors to resolve issues.
    • Follow instructions from supervisors and support team workflow.
    • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with shop standards.

    Job Requirements:

    • SPM Required
    • Preferably 1–2 years of CNC machining experience
    • Able to setup and operate CNC machines.
    • Ability to understand technical drawing.
    • Understand basic CNC machine controls.
    • Able to use precision measuring instruments.
    • Good hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
