- Responsible for implementation, communication and coordination of all safety programs
- Serve as Process Safety Management Leader
- Serve as the site Distribution Safety Program Manager to ensure that distribution is performed safely per standards
- Prepare and update site safety standards/procedures as needed
- Demonstrates and promotes felt leadership engagement and has an active physical presence across the site
- Create, collect, measure, and analyze contractor safety metrics and KPI's to discover trends for continuous improvement or to initiate targeted prevention programs
- Ensures proper compliance of safety documentation in accordance to state and federal laws
- Manages all record keeping requirements of site team (state specific, OSHA, etc.)
- Analyzes and directs supervisors on methods and approaches to resolve safety related concerns
- Serve as the Occupational Health Leader and Process Safety Management Program Leader
- Conducts investigations relating to all safety incidents, ensures proper notification process is followed, provides analysis on root cause, and works with site management on corrective action
- Serve as the Assistant Facility Security Officer
- Minimum 5 years' experience in EHS&S (Environmental, Health and Safety Independently proactive to ensure adherence to all EHS&S regulations while building and maintaining rapport with Operations, Technology, Maintenance, and Training organizations
- Experience leading EHS improvement in chemical, complex, or high hazard operations – including Emergency Response, and PSM leadership
- Ability to take initiative, self-manage, identify what is needed and take effective action to bring about change and lead/implement change while demonstrating Chemours' core values
- Exceptional and proven communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency with analytical tools to help gather and analyze data
- Bachelor's degree (in EHS or Engineering programs preferred, with preference to Safety)
- 5+ years high hazard chemical process experience
- Sound technical and regulatory based safety and process safety management knowledge, including knowledge of regulations, laws, and standards (specifically OSHA and PSM Regulations)
- Ability to anticipate, plan, develop, implement, audit, and improve sustainable systems and processes in the EHS field
