    Trapper's Sushi is looking to grow our team by adding a new Prep Cook to our team As one of the Pacific Northwest's most desired dining establishments, our mission is to learn our customers names, as well as provide the best service and food possible, leaving our customers with a craving to come back for more

    Prep Cooks assist in the preparation of all menu items in the kitchen. A Prep Cook will perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes. Prep Cooks are one of the many positions that helps in providing an unforgettable dining experience for our customers.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Follow the prep list created by Master Chefs to plan duties
    • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
    • Measure ingredients and seasonings for recipes
    • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping ingredients
    • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash
    • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
    • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
    • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
    • Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core values
    Experience and Qualifications
    • Proven experience as a Prep Cook
    • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
    • A team player with good communication skills
    • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
    • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset
    • Washington State Food Worker Card is required (before first day of work)
    Physical Demands
    • The employee must regularly lift items up 10 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand throughout their shift, walk, reach with hands and arms in front of body, lift, twist, crouch occasionally.
