    Cardiac Telemetry / Stepdown RN – High-Level Med-Surg Opportunity in NY

    UHS Wilson Medical Center is seeking a strong Cardiac Telemetry / Stepdown RN for a 3x12 rotating shift assignment. This is a high-acuity cardiac-focused unit — ideal for nurses with solid telemetry skills and hands-on experience managing complex cardiac patients.

    If you're confident with drips, post-open heart transfers, and advanced cardiac monitoring — this is your lane.

    Position Details:

    Start Date: 3/16/2026
    Location: Johnson City, NY
    Schedule: 3x12 Rotating (Days/Nights)
    Contract Length: 12.71 Weeks (End Date: 6/13/2026)
    Hours: 36/week
    Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
    Unit: Med Surg ST 3 – Cardiac Telemetry / Stepdown
    EMR: EPIC

    Patient Population & Experience Required:

    Strong cardiac telemetry background REQUIRED.

    Must have experience with:

    • TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clips
    • Pre/Post Open Heart (post CVICU transfer)
    • Heart catheterizations
    • CHF, Chest Pain, Arrhythmias
    • NSTEMI, STEMI, PE
    • Post-op CABG (>3 days)
    • Sepsis, PNA, Stroke, Observation patients
    • TR band & groin management
    • Cardiac IV & PO meds
    • Flat-rate cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Lidocaine, Milrinone, Heparin, Insulin
    • Anticoagulant therapy

    Telemetry skills checklist required upon submission.

    Responsibilities:

    • Continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring
    • Medication and drip management
    • Acute post-procedural cardiac care
    • Patient and family education
    • Collaborative interdisciplinary care
    • Compliance with NY Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards

    Requirements:

    • Active New York RN license
    • BLS & ACLS required
    • Minimum 1+ year cardiac tele/stepdown experience
    • Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills
    • EPIC experience preferred
