    Description
    The Fayette County Commission (WV) is seeking a Chief of Emergency Preparedness and Operations.

    Responsibilities will include program management, grant writing and management, establishing and implementing policies and procedures, responding to disasters as needed, directing emergency operations and the other duties as assigned.

    The individual hired for this position will have to work on weekends and holidays as needed and will report directly to the Fayette County Commission.

    Required training and certifications must be completed within the first year of employment and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.

    Minimum Qualification

    :
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilitie


    s:
    Leadership, policy and program management experience and familiarity with disaster and emergency preparedness or operations preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience working with government agencies and the public and thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments.

    Must be qualified to create and implement continuity of government, operations and disaster response policies, and have experience with grant and budget management.

    Must be able to pass a criminal background check and must possess or acquire a valid WV driver's license.


    Job Type:
    Full-time


    Pay:
    $50, $55,000.00 per year
