- Prepare food of consistent quality and presentation standards according to recipes/direction from Chef(s)
- Follow estimates received from Chef(s) on production charts as closely as possible
- Fill in production charts correctly on a daily basis
- Follow correct food handling procedures as designated by local health department standards
- Practice sanitation standards at all times
- Make sure that all perishables are stored at proper temperature and location
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation at all times
- Control waste, loss, and usage of leftover items at all times
- Assist in maintaining standards and practices of all team members in respective areas through suggestive, positive sharing of relevant information
- Work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, and/or equivalent work experience
- Certification preferred in food sanitation and food handling
- One year in a hotel environment preferred
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Ability to withstand temperature variations, both hot and cold
- Medium work-Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Must be effective at listening, understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand data and basic arithmetic functions
