    Description
    Supports and performs advanced operational functions for the servicing and maintenance of all card related products. Communicates and interacts with members.

    Through the use of an on-line systems such as Certegy, 3270, FDR, Springboard, and Visa Cats to provide a full range of card processing functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.

    Answers various procedural questions.

    Responsible for covering vacancies within the department by performing each position when necessary as well as assist the Senior with various duties and overseeing departmental work flow.


    TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
    Prepares, processes and reconciles Daily Settlement.

    Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to position.

    Gather Affinity card information for end of month/quarter reporting. Issue rebate transfer to appropriate organization.
    Process Visa Convenience Checks per in-clearing reject report.
    Set up, close, modify, maintain and apply payments to Corporate Visas. Distribute Corporate Visa statements.

    Maintain working knowledge of department practices & procedures, and interact with Department Senior and staff for feedback and/or information exchange.

    Assists in coordinating and monitoring work flow of Card Operations Department staff. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
    Research and Resolve cash outages
    Communicates and manages vendor relationship
    Assist in staff training
    Assist in the updating/creating of department procedures
    Research, report and provide resolution to exceptions in a timely manner
    Proficient use of multiple systems to provide information to cardholders regarding card activity.
    PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:
    Effective oral and written communication skills.

    Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine and telephone.


    ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:

    INTERNAL:
    Department staff, Branch Staff, Loan Services, Member Card, Contact Center, Records, IT, and Checking Services.


    EXTERNAL:
    Members, processors, and peers in department.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION:
    Successful completion of High School curriculum required.


    EXPERIENCE:
    Two years or more experience at a financial institution or related field providing member/customer service preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
    Knowledgeable in the operation of on-line systems, software and other processing equipment
    Knowledge to operate ten key, and personal computers;
    Ability to work independently exercising good judgment.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
    Corrected vision within the normal range.
    Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
    Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
