Job Details:

• Must be experienced in moderate sedation, monitoring, assessment, and foley placement
• Handle both basic to complex IR and Neuroendovascular procedures
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced working environment
• Must be able to shift gears during emergencies
• Department operates 24/7 with 5 rooms available
• Treat adult patients only (no pediatrics)
• Handle approximately 40-50 patients per day on average

General IR procedures include:
Kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central line/piccs/ports, fistulograms, IVC filter, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, thoras/paras

CT Room procedures include:
cryos, CT biopsies, drains (not performed at night)

Neuro IR procedures include:
strokes, embolization (not performed at night - DSA, WADA test, spinal angios)

• AAA intervention experience preferred

Required certifications:
BLS, ACLS

• Will administer sedation unless anesthesia is involved
• Responsible for monitoring and charting
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Work with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Experience with Siemens and GE equipment preferred
• One to two week orientation with preceptor and check-off process
• Weekend rotation includes call responsibilities
• Weekday call (Monday-Thursday): 1 call shift per week, EOS until following morning at 0700
• Weekend call (Friday-Sunday): Once every 5th or 6th weekend, EOS Friday until Monday at 0700
• 30-minute response time for call

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a Level III Trauma Center and Level III NICU with Magnet Designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center status.

The facility operates 933 beds and maintains extensive support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist coverage, and CNA/transporter services.

The interventional radiology department features advanced technology including Siemens and GE equipment, MedRad injectors, IVUS, ultrasound, laser, and Angiojet systems to support comprehensive interventional procedures.
