- Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
- May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
- Keeps daily assembly production records.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
- Must be able to cross-train and support all Assembly I, II & III roles.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Communicate effectively in a verbal and a written manner.
- Basic computer proficiency and accuracy for time/labor entry.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

POSITION SUMMARY
Operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures.
POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection. Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety regulations including wearing appropriate PPE when on the production floor
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Infrequent travel required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Distances and Heights:
Push/pull cart 20 feet. Cart for materials can range from 15" to 71". Green scrap bin is 48.5", step for machine lift is 21.5"
Tools and Equipment Used
PPE (Safety glasses, Protective gloves, Safety Shoes, Single Use Ear Plugs), materials cart, scrap bin, rack lift, combi lift, propane tank.
