- Advanced degree (PhD, DDS/DMD, MPH, RDH, or MLS or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years experience in conducting research in healthcare, leading a successful research effort relevant to evidence-based dentistry or medicine with strategic planning experience and publications in a peer-reviewed journal. Or Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience.
- Oral presentations and developing educational programs
- Excellent oral/ written communication, organizational, relationship-building, collaborative and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Interpret and analyze scientific information, guidelines, regulations and apply the information to the science and practice of dentistry, apply scientific method and knowledge
- Critically analyze scientific data and reports; to handle multiple, complex projects concurrently
- Meet deadlines
- Proficiency inOffice 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), reference management software, and dental, medical, scientific, and consumer health research resource
- Evening and weekend work may be necessary to complete projects
- Travel overnight may be necessary to attend meetings and conferences
- Experience in clinical dentistry, public health, education, and policy making
- Record of publications in peer reviewed scientific journals or other scholarly, scientific fora
- Experience with member associations in healthcare
- Well versed in relationship building, teamwork and large and multiple project management
