    Job Description and QualificationsProject Manager - Air Separation UnitsThis position is located at our Project Delivery Office in Amherst, NY.Hiring Bonus $10K based on experience.

    Reimagine What's PossibleAir Products owns and operates a diverse portfolio of gas plants, and develops innovative technology, applications, and equipment solutions serving over 30 different industries.

    We also internally perform the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) of our own plants within our Americas Project Delivery Organization.

    We are seeking a Project Manager to support our team located at our Amherst, NY office.

    The types of projects led by this role are primarily related to design and construction of new Air Separation Units, but may also include retrofits, or infrastructure projects (Power, utilities, buildings, modules, etc.)Typical travel is expected to be 25% on average over the project duration (as needed) to engineering offices, supplier shops, module yards, construction site.

    Principle Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesAs Project Manager, you will be accountable and responsible for leading medium to large capital projects and ensuring successful delivery of project commitments.

    You will form a strong team across multiple functions and regions and provide them with clear direction to navigate through the entire project life cycle (Kickoff, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Start-up, Handover to Customer, and Warranty period).You will lead and coordinate various internal and external customers to achieve on-time project completion, within budget, to the satisfaction of the customer, and within acceptable levels of quality without compromising safety and reliability.

    The role requires periodic preparation and presentation of project status reports to upper management and the customer (if applicable). The reports include safety information, project execution progress, cost and schedule forecasts, and risks. You will be expected to succinctly articulate issues and challenges as well as proposed mitigations and resolutions.

    You may also support project proposal work by developing the scope and execution strategy, identifying risks, vetting the schedule and costs, and leading review with key customers.

    Required Skills and AbilitiesActive Demonstration of Safety Leadership, in order to reinforce strong safety culture, and maintain a safe work environment in all project locations (offices, fabrication shops, construction site)Excellent communication and presentation skills.

    Leadership and motivation techniques to drive successful project completion.
    Effective coordination of cross-regional resources.
    Strategic planning and risk identification/mitigation.
    Technical and commercial foresight.
    Ability to handle complex project situations.
    Strong cross-cultural understanding and competency.
    Sound decision making capability.

    Education and Licensing RequirementsBachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience.

    The expected pay range is $166,140 - $199,360 plus bonus.
