- Assisting in Procedures: Assist the orthodontist during adjustments and bondings for efficient and high-quality patient care.
- Preparation and Maintenance: Ready and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures.
- Patient Records: Capture and update patient 2D Panorex, iTero scans, and photos as required.
- Patient Education: Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene practices and care for their orthodontic appliances.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise patient records and documentation.
- Sterilization and Cleanliness: Sterilize instruments and uphold a tidy and well-organized workspace.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle office responsibilities like appointment scheduling, patient record management, and relevant clinical report generation.
- Educational Background and Experience: Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant experience in a dental environment is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
- Orthodontic Knowledge: Understanding of orthodontic procedures and terminology, with a willingness to expand knowledge.
