    Summary

    Jentzsch Kearl Farms LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our organization.

    The CFO will lead the financial strategy and operations of the company across multiple entities and states and will play a critical role in the business's overall success and growth.

    The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong financial background and a willingness to take charge, implement new systems, and grow the businesses.


    The CFO will be a key member of Jentzsch Kearl Farms LLC's leadership team and will be expected to bring a prominent level of intelligence, energy, and integrity to the role.

    The ideal candidate will be an out-of-the-box thinker, one who always seeks to improve processes, cut costs, and find a better way, even when not directly asked.

    The CFO will be the Direct Lead of the finance department and will be expected to take a hands-on approach to driving the company's financial success.

    Key Responsibilities

    Primary responsibility:
    leverage and maximize the assets of the company to facilitate new growth and higher returns to the shareholders

    Develop and implement financial strategies and plans that align with the overall goals and objectives of the company

    Oversee financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of financial statements and assist in creating annual budgets

    Manage financial risk and ensure compliance with all financial regulations

    Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, and collaborate with other departments to drive business performance

    Act as a financial advisor to the CEO and other senior leaders, providing expert analysis and guidance on financial and strategic matters

    Continuously monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving measures

    Provide guidance to other departments, and collaborate with them to ensure their goals align with the company's financial objectives

    Other Responsibilities

    Manage the company's captive insurance

    Manage a potential crop captive insurance

    Investigate new/potential start-up entities or acquisitions

    Assist and maximize all cash, assets, and cash flow systems of the businesses

    Consolidate purchasing processes and maximum purchasing volumes

    Help investigate and implement new enterprise level accounting software

    Professionalize and maximize returns from business housing assets

    Manage and implement short and long-term tax strategies

    High level management of subordinate departments, for example: controller, human resources, records, office support

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or economics

    Strong financial background

    Relevant work experience preferred

    Excellent Excel skills and comfortable working with technology

    Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate team members

    Aggressive personality, with a focus on driving results and taking initiative

    High level of personal integrity

    Ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to complex problems

    CPA certification would be beneficial but not required

    Willingness to travel on occasion

    Background in agriculture preferred

    Other Information

    Salary:
    $200,000 minimum (DOE) with possible merit-based incentives

    Compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary based on experience, training, skills, education, location, and other job-related reasons.
