USED VEHICLE AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN – SOMMER'S AUTOMOTIVE
LOCATION: 7211 W MEQUON ROAD, MEQUON, WI. 53092

We are currently seeking experienced Automotive Technicians who have experience with used vehicles to join our highly skilled service department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
- Perform used vehicle inspections and reconditioning efficiently and accurately.
- Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors and provide accurate repair time estimates.
- Complete warranty and retail repairs to manufacturer and dealership standards.
COMPETENCIES
- Strong knowledge of used vehicle repair and reconditioning.
- Excellent communication skills — written and verbal.
- High level of technical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Adaptability, customer focus, and team-oriented mindset.
POSITION DETAILS
- Full-Time
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Every 4th Saturday: 7:30 AM–12:00 PM
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician (Used or General Line)
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
Preferred:
- 3+ years of experience
- ASE or manufacturer certifications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stand for up to 10 hours
- Lift 50 lbs+ safely and repeatedly
