Machine Inspector - Florence - Mazak
Description
The Machine Inspector is responsible for performing inspection and verification of our machines to ensure they meet all quality, functional, aesthetic, and safety standards prior to shipment. This role ensures machines are compliant with engineering specifications, electrical and mechanical requirements, and customer expectations. The Machine Inspector plays a critical role in identifying and preventing defects, documenting non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement across assembly and production operations.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
* Perform comprehensive machine inspections including electrical functionality, machine operation, software verification and options installation/function
* Confirm machine fit, finish, labeling, guarding and safety compliance meet company standards
* Accurately complete inspection paperwork and record findings
* Provide feedback to improve production standards, inspection methods and product quality
Education/Certification:
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Technical School or related experience required
* Associates Degree is preferred
Skills:
* Basic AC/DC Electrical Circuit knowledge
* Understanding of PLCs and ladder logic interpretation
* Familiarity with CNC machining equipment and its operation
* Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and BOMs
* Excellent communication, documentation and time management skills
* Effective PC skills, including use of Microsoft Office package
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
* Capable use of precision measuring equipment
Physical and Mental Demands:
* Must be flexible to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change
* May require standing for extended periods of time during inspections
* Ability to bend, climb and safely maneuver around large CNC machines
* Must comply with required PPE and adhere to all safety regulations
