    Our client is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join thier team. This role focuses on product design layout, modeling, and drawing creation for machining, casting, assembly, dimensional tolerance, marking, and GD&T per industrial standards.

    Essential Functions

    • Provide engineering solutions that meet customer performance requirements, interface details, reliability, cost, and schedule requirements.
    • Perform mechanical design tasks for cast, machined, and plastic/metallic additively manufactured components.
    • Design electromechanical sensor packaging with CAD component modeling, assembly, BOM structure creation, and production drawings.
    • Evaluate product designs with layouts, modeling, and drawing creation using CAD tools (CATIA V5, Creo, AutoCAD) and manage product release configuration control processes (Enovia).
    • Provide technical direction for assigned projects from the initial concept phase to product delivery.
    • Ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
    • Establish technical requirements for fabricated and procured components. Select materials, finishes, processes, dimensions, and GD&T to meet design intent.
    • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and quality engineers, customers, and suppliers. Visit suppliers and customers as required.
    • Design fluid flow products and fixturing, substantiating design choices based on fluid mechanics concepts.
    • Oversee the design, build, and testing of engineering prototypes for proposals and internal research and development projects.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design or project engineering.
    • Understanding of mechanical and electromechanical systems and robust design methods.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with pressure sensor/transducer design.
    • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or medical device industries.
    • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
    • Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5, Creo, AutoCAD) and product release configuration control processes (Enovia).


    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
    This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
