Responsibilities
The Lead Cashier reports to the Student Accounts Supervisor.
The Lead Cashier is responsible for maintaining all cashier functions; and interacting with customers by researching, resolving and responding to inquiries and disputes.
Reviews and posts all Title IV and State financial aid; disburses payroll, work-study, stipends, refunds, and employee reimbursement checks; and prepares return book coupons and panther buck requests.
Resolves credit card and CASHNet concerns; reviews reconciliations of book coupons and panther bucks; submits reimbursement reports; and prepares monthly scholarship reconciliation processes.
Trains student organization leaders on the cash collection process; manages event schedules and reconciliations; and performs any other duties within the scope of this position.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Business Administration or at least two years of experience in a complex cashier position. The successful candidate must have considerable knowledge of receipting funds, customer and personal services, and organization and planning functions. Previous experience using Jenzabar, Microsoft office, ten-key, and other office equipment is required. The candidate selected must be able to work independently, give attention to detail and communicate effectively.
