    Qualifications:

    -Able to be in the Office five (5) days/week;

    -JD from an accredited Law School;

    -Admitted to practice in State Court (NY);

    -Admission in NJ is a plus, but not required;

    -Must have at least three (3) years of experience with Personal Injury Law Firm ;

    -Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google and familiarity with and/or willingness to learn other platforms and databases;

    -Excellent writing and research skills;

    -Proficient in Westlaw/Lexis;

    -Strong verbal and written communication skills;

    -Deposition experience (taking/defending)

    -Excellent time management skills;

    -Excellent Computer and Phone Skills;

    -Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;

    -Ability to build rapport with clients;

    -Organized and Self-Motivated;

    -Proficiency in negotiating settlement with insurance carriers;

    -Must be willing to travel to Court;

    -Ability to try a case is preferred, but not necessary;

    -Bilingual is preferred, but not required.

    Job Description:

    -Independently managing a litigation caseload efficiently from inception through resolution;

    -Drafting complaints, pleadings, and motions;

    -Regularly handling court appearances and depositions;

    -Arguing motions;

    -Appearing on EUOs, 50h hearings, mediations and arbitrations;

    -Interacting with clients;

    -Determining case values, strategies and settlement decisions;

    -Reviewing discovery documents and determining the best course of action for the client in each case.

    -Properly and constantly documenting all events and communications;

    -Conducting comprehensive research;

    -Working closely with Attorney on legal projects;

    Education:

    • JD Degree (Required)
    • NYS Bar License (Required)
    • Federal Admission (Preferred)

    Experience:

    • Personal Injury Litigation: 3 years (Required)
