    Northrop Grumman's Strategic Space Systems Digital Hardware and IC Department in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a talented Staff Digital Hardware Project Engineer.

    By collaborating with Systems, Software, and FPGA/ASIC engineers, you will be a critical project technical team leader responsible for developing complex digital hardware designs and test systems for high-reliability space applications on time and within budget.

    We are seeking a motivated, innovative, and well-organized technical leader who can efficiently and creatively manage the technical scope of projects developing robust digital hardware for network communications , command and control, and digital signal processing for use in next generation space systems.

    This position requires an individual that has strong, efficient, and out-going communication skills to be effective on leading high-performance development teams that consist of developers residing across multiple Northrop Grumman engineering development centers.

    As a critical leader, you'll have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of advance space systems to enable you to produce robust solutions that provide the highest value to our customers.

    You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers in a rapidly expanding organization as well as engage with Northrop Grumman's space systems subject matter experts and business leaders.

    This role is eligible for relocation assistance and Hybrid work environment in Gilbert, Arizona for well qualified candidates. Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.
    This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


    Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer engineering, or related digital engineering degree and 14+ years of engineering experience with a bachelor's degree or 12+ years of engineering experience with a master's degree.2+ years digital hardware technical team leadership experienceCandidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of the following active U.S.


    Government security clearances:
    Dept of Defense Secret level with a background investigation date within 10 years OR Dept of Energy L clearance with a background Investigation within 10 years


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


    5+ years' experience as a Project Engineer, IPTL, or CAM developing products containing Digital FPGAs, ASICs, Processors, or Hardware AssembliesBid and Proposal experience.

    Experience working on digital hardware for space flight applications.
    Expertise in developing hardware requirements, development plans, verification plans, and qualification plan and report artifacts.

    $153, $229,400.00Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
