Summary

The Assistant teacher supports the lead teacher to provide a safe and engaging environment. The aide will help implement the plans of the lead teacher and will assist with classroom management. You will work one on one with students to assist them in various activities. He/She must be able to cooperate and work well with others to make a high quality learning environment. You may work with ages 1-5 and must be able to adapt accordingly. Maintains current and timely documentation of work in compliance with Center and other regulatory agencies' standards. This position will start with 30-40 hours.

Kids Movement Preschool is located in Mesa, bordering Gilbert.

We are located on the property of Without Walls Church and partner to serve the families in our community with preschool and child care needs.

Duties

• Ensure the safety of all the children at all times
• Able to sit, stand, lift up to 30 lbs on occasion
• Preparing and setting up activities
• Attend school related events
• Implement daily lessons when lead teacher is absent

. Maintain proper documentation
. Aide children in the bathroom, depending on classroom - change diapers
Assist lead teachers in classroom management
Assist lead teacher in small group/center time
Help monitor children during lunch, recess, nap

Requirements

. High School Diploma or equivalent
6 months of childcare experience in a licensed facility
. Flexible
. Team player
. To be able to effectively communicate with parents
. Have the ability to multi-task
. Clean TB card prior to start
. Cleared Level One Fingerprint card prior to start
. Valid First Aid/CPR card

Nice To Haves

. Have at least 12 ECE Units OR Minimum 6 months experience in a licensedearly childhood setting
