    Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate approximately 50 student staff for the following positions: Head Lifeguard, Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor, Colorado Operator, Lifeguard Instructor, CPR/AED and First Aid InstructorManage daily operations for ONAT competition pool, SRWC Leisure Pool and Spa, and ONAT front desk operation; to include scheduling staff to maintain appropriate supervision required per state code and support the facilities operation of the SRWCDevelop and implement all training and materials to include the latest industry best practices, implement policies and procedures for all operational areas, maintain current certifications for all aquatic staff including American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and First Aid) and any additional certifications deemed necessaryCoordinate special event set-up, oversee staff during events, and serve as a meet management liaison for swim meets.

    Understand and operate all swim meet equipment, and schedule facilities for SRWS programs, academic classes, swimming and diving teams, and special events.

    Manage events for all department operations as needed.
    Manage the American Red Cross Learn-To
    • Swim program including student staffing; program development, implementation, evaluation and assessment of instructors and program material; patron interaction, communication and development of all swim lessons.
    Develop, implement and assess aquatic programs.

    Work with program area staff to implement risk management facility training (audits and mock emergency) across the facilityDevelop program yearly budget, tracking and reporting, compiling revenue information on a per-session, semester, and fiscal year basis.

    Monitor expenditures and payroll to meet budget goals.
    Professional CertificationLifeguard CertificationLifeguard Instructor Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)

    Water Safety Instructor Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)Additional Position Information:

    Education: Bachelor's DegreeExperience: Requires a minimum of 1 year experience in aquatic program development and coordination of an aquatic facility.

    Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks required.

    Supervisory experience of staff and/or students, strong oral and written communication, ability to work a non-traditional work week, demonstrate a commitment to diversity, social justice, cultural competence, and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment required.

    Detailed knowledge of the operation of pool filtration and disinfection systems along with related local, state and national regulations dealing with aquatics required.

    Computer skills for Microsoft Suite of programs.
