    Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

    Experience:


    • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.


    • Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.


    • Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

    Requirements:


    • Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).


    • This role may require floating to additional units and locations


    • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.


    • COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.


    • Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.


    • No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Cook County.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • 2 years of recent acute care experience in Med/Surg
    • Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Respiratory, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Work Settings, Med/Surg, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Isolation Precautions/PPE

    Preferred Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Tracheostomy care/management

    Required Credentials: International Candidates: must obtain SSN/SSC prior to submission. Cook's HR does not allow SSN/SSC to be pending at start, even with proof of application.

    Special Requests: RTO: 5 days max with no more than 2 consecutive. No holiday RTO. No RTO the day prior or after a holiday. No RTO on weekends.

    Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend/ 2 weekends per month

    Floating Requirements: Cook has the ability to request that any clinician float outside of their "home" facility as long as the floating does not exceed 50 miles.

    • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
