This is an offsite medical office specialist role offering clinical and medical office support to physicians and surgeons.Responsibilities
Monitors patient flow in waiting room resolves registration issues performs vital signs phlebotomy point of care testing sets up examination rooms inventories orders re-stocks medical supplies maintains logging system notifies personnel regarding equipment malfunctions cleans equipment documents information in medical records greets registers patients directs transportation needs screens incoming calls responds to messages schedules appointments completes pre-registration sends receives patient medical records retrieves lab reports verifies updates insurance information obtains managed care referrals supports surgical or procedure scheduling maintains knowledge of third party payer eligibility requirements uses basic medical terminology enters ICD10-CM CPT information into computerized systems assists in training orientation education of entry level staffJob description
