The CFO is a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company.
The CFO's role includes financial leadership and planning as well as analyzing the company's business and financial trends and proactively proposing plans to enhance the financial condition.
The CFO will play a critical role in strategic planning, risk management, and financial forecasting, ensuring alignment with Moss's growth objectives and core values.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with the CEO along with Business and functional team leaders to develop business and financial strategies that align with Moss's long-term goals.
Identify and manage business risks and opportunities, ensuring that financial strategies and plans are responsive to changing market and regulatory environments.
Oversee the company's insurance programs, including risk assessment and coverage strategies for property, liability, workers' compensation, and other key areas.
Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to minimize exposures and ensure protection against potential losses.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a growth culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and alignment with Moss's core values of honoring relationships, entrepreneurial spirit, and contagious energy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or similar) is highly preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or similar executive role, preferably in the construction industry or related sectors.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of developing and fostering a collaborative team environment.Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to lead and explain financial forecasts and budgets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Deep understanding of financial regulations, reporting requirements, and industry-specific challenges in the construction sector.
