    Job Overview

    The SCM Contracting and Procurement Team Lead is responsible for supporting system contracting initiatives via business review of hospital supply, service, construction and capital equipment contracts submitted to headquarters per corporate policies.

    The position is also responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific supply chain related projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
    • Identifies resources needed and makes recommendations as to individual responsibilities.
    • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
    • Reviews deliverables before passing on.
    • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
    • Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
    • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriate
    • Oversee the administration and annual business review and legal approval of all contracts submitted to headquarters per hospital and corporate policy.
    • Ensure communications and resolution of review comments between Shriners Hospitals and corporate-level Procurement, Legal, Finance, Information Systems, Boards, Committees and other departments concerning purchasing issues and contract terms and conditions.
    • Develop and solicit Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
    • Coordinate the negotiation, execution and maintenance of contract terms and conditions to protect the organization.
    • Recommend the need for establishing and/or maintaining existing national contracts.
    • Recommend opportunities to maximize our effectiveness and control our spend through combining individual contracts into system-wide agreements.
    • Review and direct non-contract agreements toward corporate contract compliance

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 5+ years of contracting and procurement in healthcare experience

    Preferred:

    • Bachelors Degree in Related Field
    • 5+ years of lawson procurement or supply chain experience
    • Supply Chain or Materials Management Certification
