    Description


    We are looking for someone with strong geotechnical experience to come aboard in a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineering role for a regionally dominant consulting firm located in Sacramento or Bay Area, CA.


    Duties include the following:
    Senior level engineering professional overseeing and review of geotechnical engineering practices

    Prepare subsurface investigation proposals and assist in the marketing and acquisition of subsurface investigations

    Assist in the technical development of engineering staff


    Assist in business development, including attending short-list interviews as geotechnical expert, review and evaluate RFPs/RFQs to help develop proposals and statement of qualifications.

    Manage and direct geotechnical engineering evaluations for projects with varying range of complexity.


    Required competencies:
    Exhibit an advanced ability to analyze problems and develop alternative strategies to solve them

    Experience in shallow and deep foundation design and Caltrans design of bridge foundations, retaining walls, MSE walls, and pavements.

    Experience with design of mat-type foundations and development of mat foundation design parameters.

    Ability to use Settle3D, Slide, AllPile, L-Pile, Shaft, CLiq, and LiquefyPro.

    Strong technical writing skills.

    Command of both design- and construction-related aspects of geotechnical engineering.

    Master's degree in Civil/ Geotechnical Engineering preferred.

    A minimum of 8 years of experience

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
