    We are seeking

    a

    Permit Specialist

    to assist with permit research and applications for various governmental, quasi-governmental, and utility bodies. They will monitor progress of applications and help facilitate jurisdictional requests for additional information.

    Additionally, this person will oversee all activity with regards to projects including, but not limited to, customer needs, workflow, service level agreement (SLA) adherence, quality control, and all other aspects related to projects.

    Responsibilities

    Receive and enter incoming work from various sources (email, PDFs, paper, FTP sites, customer databases, etc.) into online database software accurately and within established timeframes.

    Manage the preparation of all necessary documentation for permit submissions, including applications, maps, and legal descriptions.
    Ensure that all permitting documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

    Liaising with governmental agencies, utility companies, and other stakeholders to coordinate right of way activities and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and ordinances.

    Maintaining accurate records and documentation of permits, including associated plans and maps, ensuring that all documents are current and properly filed.

    Work on multiple permitting projects, ensuring that they progress on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with permit conditions.
    Overseeing and managing the processing of permit fees and invoices.
    Addressing and resolving revisions, conditions, conflicts, or disputes that arise during the permitting approval process.
    Create and promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business
    practices as related to employees, the public and customers. This includes ensuring that the service and quality provided to customers is satisfactory.
    Other duties or special projects, as assigned.

    Qualifications
    Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
    2-3 years production-based permitting experience required.
    Knowledge of cable design and basic construction practices of cable systems required.
    Ability to update and/or create PDF maps for permits using Bluebeam or PDF editor.
    O-Calc Pro, QuickBase, NJUNS, ALDEN, AutoCAD software experience strongly preferred.
    Proficient in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    Keen attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
    Customer service mindset.
    Must have the ability to multi-task, handle interruptions & prioritize workloads.
    Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Must be able to take direction and work independently.
    Willingness to learn, adapt and accept increased responsibility.
    Must be responsible, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a remote location.
    The ability to embrace corporate values, understands the company mission, and exemplifies CCI leadership behaviors.

    Shift

    is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00 pm CST. Must be flexible, and willing and able to work outside normal business hours, as necessary.
