    Description

    Chemical, Paper & Biomedical Engineering: Postdoctoral Fellow in Computational Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology to play a pivotal role in a multidisciplinary research project funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The project revolves around the development and clinical application of noninvasive mapping technologies to localize ventricular arrhythmias in real time using standard ECG under the mentorship of Dr. Shijie Zhou.

    The Postdoctoral Fellow will collaborate closely with the principal investigator to design and implement research studies; examine experimental and clinical data; maintain meticulous laboratory records; consistently share findings with the principal investigator and fellow researchers; aid in crafting technical reports, drafting grant proposals, and preparing scientific presentations; play a pivotal role in peer-reviewed publications, as both a lead and co-author; provide mentorship to both undergraduate and graduate students; and collaborate with a diverse team of research specialists.

    Required: Ph.D. in electrical engineering, computer science & engineering, applied statistics/mathematics, or a closely related field by date of appointment.

    Consideration may be given to candidates with familiarity with cardiac electrophysiology modeling; a solid background and interest in numeric optimization, statistical inference, and machine learning and deep learning techniques; proficiency in programming language (e.g., Python, C++, C#); excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
