Estimator Uniondale 70-80K + GREAT BENEFITS

Outstanding Uniondale contracting firm seeks experienced Estimator with construction or similar type company experience.

This is a direct hire, in-office, permanent position. Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM.

The Estimator oversees multiple estimating projects that support the business development group. They are responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals for projects.

Responsibilities:

• Review Bid documents (plans/specs/etc.)
• Must understand drawings, specifications, and construction terms.
• Organize and prepare quotes and documents for bid proposals.
• Must be knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Adobe, and CAD
• Blueprint reading a must.
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with subcontractors as well as material and equipment suppliers.
• Delegates responsibility and coordinates project activities

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of industry related experience preferred.
• Proficient in the use of applicable estimating software is a plus. (Blue Beam, AutoCAD)
• Identifies and understands differences in subcontractor/vendor quotations.
• Effectively communicates and listens.
