This position is for a self-motivated individual with 2-4+ years' experience related to generating and analyzing reports, researching trends, and presenting/ interpreting results.
Responsible for generating ad-hoc reports via PeopleSoft query manager and Excel, conducting basic data analysis, proactively creating business reports library and maintaining KPIs, assisting with compensation reclassification process and compensation-related research.

It is anticipated that for the first 4-6 months, this position will support the UCareer Rollout (including classification and data load assistance) and transition to support additional data and reporting efforts in 2024.

Responsibilities
Generate ad-hoc reports via PeopleSoft Query Manager and other HR systems of record.
Create and maintain a library of definitions, metrics, reports and other pertinent information related to the progress and success of customers, programs, and incentives across all University of Utah Human Resource Management interests.
May assist the UHRM Compensation function in job reclassification processes, surveys, and administration.Conduct independent research, gather, and assimilate the new, complex information.
Present information to the University of Utah Human Resource Management in a professional and timely manner.
Collaborate effectively with a diverse group of people across the University of Utah departments/schools/colleges.
Ensure outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers.
Work effectively, efficiently, and autonomously in a team environment.
Continually seek, learn, teach, and adopt new reporting technologies and innovations to increase efficiency.
Any additional projects as assigned by University of Utah Human Resource Management CHRO, Director, or Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in related area and at least two years of related work experience. Assumes equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Must be self-motivated and self-directed, able to learn independently and produce results under minimum supervision.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Must be able to create professional, easy-to-understand reports and presentations, with great attention to details.
Ability to work well with others and provide outstanding customer service is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of report generating experience.
Two years of experience with advanced Excel.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft.
Expert knowledge of Excel.
Understanding of University of Utah organizational and financial structures.
Understanding of relational database and statistics.
Human Resources experience.
