    As an Advanced Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced software solutions for our Aerospace business.

    You will play a crucial role in designing and coding software applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met.

    Your expertise in software development and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in driving innovation and delivering exceptional results.

    Be part of a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex software functions within Honeywell Aerospace Technologies. You will use your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    You will also generate innovative solutions in work situations; trying different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.

    This position is with Rocky Research, a wholly owned subsidiary of Honeywell.

    You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Boulder City, NV location on a hybrid work schedule.


    In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge software solutions that enhance the performance and safety of aerospace systems.

    You will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborating with a team of talented engineers to deliver high-quality software products.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Design and implementation of data acquisition and control firmware utilizing the C programming language and running on microcontrollers
    • Design and implementation of system controller software utilizing the C++ programming language and running on Linux or RTOS
    • Design and implementation of HMI visualization and logging software utilizing the Java programming language and running on Windows/Linux
    • Implementation of data post-processing scripts utilizing Python
    • Work cross-functionally with mechanical engineering to design, validate, and characterize full prototypes
    • Up to 10% travel to customer sites to support integration of prototypes into larger systems
    • Contribute to early field failure analysis and improvement analysis for released prototypes based on customer feedback as well as data analysis
    U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

    Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization and security clearance


    YOU MUST HAVE

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
    • 1+ years of experience in software development
