- Preoperative Assessment:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, reviewing medical histories, allergies, and medications to determine anesthesia plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Anesthesia Administration:
- Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, to ensure patient comfort and pain management.
- Calculate and administer appropriate medication dosages, considering patient age, weight, and medical condition.
- Intraoperative Monitoring:
- Monitor patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and end-tidal carbon dioxide levels during surgery.
- Adjust anesthesia levels as needed to maintain patient stability and safety.
- Postoperative Care:
- Continuously assess patients' condition in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and manage pain control.
- Administer postoperative medications and provide appropriate interventions to manage potential complications.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including anesthesia administration, vital signs, and any complications.
- Complete all required documentation in compliance with legal and healthcare regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and monitors.
- Report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate department.
- Patient Education:
- Provide patients and their families with information about anesthesia procedures and postoperative care.
- Address any questions or concerns to alleviate patient anxiety and enhance the informed consent process.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
- Maintain open and clear communication with the healthcare team to provide timely updates on patient status.
- Valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA/SRNA)
- Current state licensure as a registered nurse with CRNA certification.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Strong knowledge and experience anesthesia techniques and medications.
- Must be familiar with many different kinds of surgeries
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Start Pay rate - $150/hr to $220/hr negotiable
