    Location: Nampa, ID

    Work schedule: M - F, 6am - 3pm, weekends as needed

  • Job responsibilities: Directly supervises the senior cooks, cooks, and cafeteria attendants and student workers. Responsible for the management of food services, which include the cafeteria and special food services, in compliance with government and management directives.

    Essential functions:

  • Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and food services activities of the department.
  • Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, implement departmental and personnel changes as approved by the finance & administration director, and coordinated with the manager, human resources prior to implementation.
  • Develop the departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures; review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
  • Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting food services; coordinate with other departments to promote center objectives.
  • Regularly assess and audit department for contractual compliance and quality of services to students; prepare audit and assessment reports.
  • Provide appetizing, nutritious and realistically proportioned meals in a clean, comfortable environment.
  • Ensure quality of production and food purchase requirements; maintain cost control to stay within budget limitations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food service areas and ensure proper documentation and records maintenance of all inspections. Maintain quality standards.
  • Coordinate with and provide support to the culinary arts training program; manage instruction of culinary arts trainees assigned to practicum in the cafeteria.
  • Manage preparation of food services for special center functions, visitors and off‐center work based learning assignments.
  • Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid serve safe certification and one year related experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
