    About Team / Role


    WEX is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A organization and play an integral role in supporting our technology & digital teams.

    The candidate will work closely with our business stakeholders and provide financial partnership, insights and analysis for each respective area.

    How you'll make an impact


    Develop best practice reporting for our stakeholders, preparing and presenting financial reports, explaining financial results and highlighting key areas of focus while leveraging automation tools to develop operational efficiencies and best practices.

    Be a key thought leader of the finance team, influencing decision making, identifying finance priorities, and streamlining decision making.

    Deliver financial reporting of Technology & Digital operating expenses on a monthly basis.


    Standard monthly close process support (reclasses, accruals, variance analysis, reconciliation of financial systems), a successful candidate will deliver value-add results through standardization and automation to improve the flow of information/ownership of results, ultimately spending less time crunching numbers and more time on analysis.

    Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and other Finance teams to support the monthly close process, reporting and variance analysis.

    Build strong partnerships across multiple lines of business. Connecting our technology & digital teams with our commercial finance partners.

    Develop best practice solutions aimed at providing transparency, owner accountability, project tracking, reporting and financial insight to the leadership team of each line of business and the global Technology & Product organizations

    Deliver value-add results through standardization and automation to improve the flow of information/ownership of results, ultimately spending less time crunching numbers and more time on analysis

    Maintain a culture of a high service level and a proactive behavior to meet ELT stakeholder expectations

    Bring strong communication skills, organizational rigor, and a strong desire to improve the financial relationship with our internal & external customers


    Demonstrate innovation and success in fixing and building processes to maximize efficiency and minimize unnecessary work, including the identification and removal of non-value-added activity.

    Implement new planning tool for respective area as part of larger FP&A platform upgrade

    Experience you'll bring

    College degree, BS degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred

    years of work experience in an analytical role like business analysis, financial analysis, business consulting, or something similar

    Experience with (or strong desire to) working in a large team and working cross-functionally with a large number of business partners and stakeholders

    Experience with (or desire to learn) advanced analytical modeling and data wrangling using Google, Excel, Alteryx, UIPath or other similar tools


    A successful candidate will have a passion for innovation, new tools and ways of working and adapts well to a fast-paced change environment.

    Accounting background preferred

    Experience with (or a strong desire to learn) drawing actionable insights from Data to deliver on business goals and impact

    Ability to be a proactive and self-driven working professional who is eager to learn, grow and have business impact

    The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position.

    Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.

    Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.     Salary Pay Range:
    $92, $122,000.00
