    Job Responsibilities for Forensic Psychologist

    • The Forensic Psychologist will diagnose or evaluate behavioral, emotional and cognitive disorders through observation, interview, and psychological tests.
    • Applies theory relating to behavior and mental processes to formulate and administer programs of treatment that may include counseling, therapy and research.
    • Helps clients work toward the maintenance and enhancement of physical, intellectual, emotional, social and interpersonal functioning.
    • Requirements for Forensic Psychologist:
      • Doctorate degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology from the American Psychological Association.
      • A current Georgia license to practice psychology (temp, provisional or permanent
      • 1 year of experience at a lower-level psychologist position
      • Supervised training and/or experience: with diverse population seen in mental health; in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Law; in mental competency and criminal responsibility evaluations for the court system; in psychotherapeutic intervention with offender populations
