- Provide leadership and direction for the Ambulatory Surgery department, overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Manage nursing staff, including recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Foster a safe, patient-centered, and cost-effective environment for both patients and staff.
- Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and maintain high-quality surgical care protocols.
- Oversee patient care delivery and staff competency within the department.
- Lead and participate in unit and staff meetings.
- Champion quality improvement initiatives and projects.
- Develop and implement departmental budgets.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License (California) required at hire.
- Minimum four (4) years of clinical nursing experience in an Ambulatory Surgery setting.
- Minimum four (4) years of management, supervisory, or leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred), or Master's Degree in Nursing earned through a direct entry MSN program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
