    Colman Perkins Law Group is an efficient and responsive AV-rated law firm based in California We specialize in insurance defense, handling cases such as car accidents, premises liability, catastrophic injury/wrongful death, SIU litigation, UM/UIM, first party coverage, examinations under oath, coverage and water mitigation. Our expertise also includes fraud prevention and education, with a focus on SIU (Special Investigations Unit) work.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time hybrid role as a Law and Motion Attorney at Colman Perkins Law Group. The Law and Motion Attorney will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks related to insurance defense, including conducting legal research, drafting motions, attending court hearings, and providing legal analysis. The main office is in Glendale, but the position is remote and offered to attorneys anywhere in the US so long as they are licensed in practice in California, Nevada or Arizona.

    Qualifications

    • Strong knowledge of insurance defense
    • Experience in all aspects of "law and motion" to include MSJ, discovery motions, trial briefs, research, writing and working with our attorneys and paralegals to support them in our practice.
    • We expect the highest level of legal writing and analysis
    • Ability to conduct legal research and draft motions
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
    • Active member of the State Bar of California with no history of discipline
    • Prior experience working in an AV-rated law firm is a plus
