    Job DescriptionRole Summary/Purpose:

    We are seeking an experienced Product Owner for the PRISM program to lead the evolution of our Commercial Credit Underwriting platform and support additional Product integrations on SynApps.

    This individual will lead a team of Developers to build new features & capabilities to migrate products from legacy technologies to modern cloud architecture.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background with a focus on Credit products and proven track record of representing the business, partnering with a cross-functional project team, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

    You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.


    Essential Responsibilities:
    Be the subject matter expert for our Commercial underwriting platform.
    Lead the migration of additional Products to the SynApps platform.
    Partner with leadership to define the product vision and roadmap.
    Plan and prioritize features based on business value & technical feasibility to align with the product strategy.
    Work closely with other product owners, business owners, and other stakeholders in Synchrony to identify deliverables, dependencies, and risks.
    Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories, and work with the team to continuously refine them.
    Lead the product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities.

    Manage underwriting strategies using Experian Powercurve, FICO Blaze Advisor, and OpenL.Be the voice of the product, and actively engage in PI (Program Increment) planning.

    Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.


    Qualifications/Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Commerce with 4+ years of experience in Credit Acquisitions, or in lieu of a degree, 9+ years of experience in Credit Acquisitions4+ years of Project/Product Management experienceExperience with Scaled Agile practices and familiarity with Product Owner functionExpertise in Business Rule Management Systems, preferably Experian Powercurve, FICO Blaze Advisor, and OpenL

    Track record of creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a cross-functional and hybrid work environment.
    Ability to multi-task & lead multiple products & teams.

    High energy, self-motivated, with strong communication skills (verbal and written)3+ years of experience leading software development projectsAbility to multitask in a face paced environment while influencing and making judgment calls.


    Strong understanding of Revolving and Closed End Credit business conceptsStrong understanding of Credit Strategies and Fraud Strategy controlsHands on Cloud experienceTechnical proficiency with MS Office applicationsExperience in writing test plans and test scriptsFamiliarity with data analytics and reporting toolsGrade/Level: 11The salary range for this position is110, ,000.00USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

    Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
    Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.


    Eligibility Requirements:

    New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.

    Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.

    Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post.
