This position requires you relocate to Butte MTJob DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to evaluate our current operations and to establish more efficient and systematic production processes. The Industrial Engineer's responsibilities include analyzing operations, designing workflows and production processes, reducing inefficiency, and ensuring that final products meet established quality standards.

The successful candidate must have a proven background with efficient systems that integrate workers, machines, materials, information hardware development, and implementation knowhow for the manufacture of complex products.

Candidate must have a BSIE, MSIE, or equivalent engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

This is a unique opportunity for a qualified individual in a technologically diverse organization that offers broad manufacturing management opportunities for the fabrication of multiple existing products and will include new products that are under development.

Objectives of this RoleAnalyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challengesConceive, design, test, and develop innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectivesEvaluate and explore new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input to scheduling methods, performance metrics and financial standardsFoster Resodyn's reputation by delivering innovative solutions while upholding company, federal, and state regulationsManage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects, and mentor fellow engineers and techniciansResponsibilitiesReview engineering specificationsDevelop management controls systemsDetermine how to conduct and deliver manufacturing services with maximum efficiencyParticipate in research to determine the qualified places to have manufacture componentsUtilize principles of mathematics, science, and engineering to streamline processes Identify opportunities to prevent waste and inefficiency in productionResearch and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to formulate/support innovation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activitiesDevelop and design robust manufacturing concepts to simplify/improve manufacturing processes to ensure best practiceInstitute quality control procedures to resolve quality control proceduresCreate and maintain required manufacturing process documentation including detailed work instructions, process flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis and line balancingCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gain insight and direction to successfully complete projectsSkills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering (IE or ME), Master's degree preferred5+ years related engineering/management experienceIn-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principlesExperience with building prototypesProficiency with analytical tools, workflow time study, and process balancingAbility to interface with program management, manufacturing leads, customer, and functional leads; provide daily direction and guidance to junior associates and managementAdvanced experience using MS suite, including Access, Excel, and PowerPointExperience with the implementation and use of ERP systemsStrong project and event scheduling skillsAbility to communicate effectivelyExperience working on multidisciplinary teamsCreative problem-solving skillsAdept critical thinking skills for complex issues
