    We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position in Monroe, LA.

    As an integral member of our healthcare team, the Inpatient Pharmacist will be responsible for compounding and dispensing prescribed medications, providing drug information, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within the hospital setting.

    This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

    Setting:
    Hospital

    Contract Duration: 13 Weeks


    Schedule:
    Days and Evenings, every other weekend.


    Responsibilities:

    • Compound and dispense prescribed medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
    • Transfer prescriptions and provide drug information to healthcare professionals as needed.
    • Perform medication order entry into the computer system accurately and efficiently.
    • Monitor patient profiles to ensure appropriate medication use and identify any potential issues.
    • Oversee the work of support staff and provide guidance and supervision as necessary.
    • Document any relevant interventions or interactions with patients or healthcare providers.
    • Adhere to all state certifications and maintain familiarity with standard pharmacy practices and procedures.
    • Utilize personal judgment and experience to plan and accomplish pharmacyrelated goals effectively.

    Experience, Education, Training, Special Skills, and Licensure:

    • Up to 1 year of relevant experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Creative analytical thinker with the ability to problemsolve effectively.
    • Current license with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy (RPH).
