    Job Description:

    US Electrical Services Inc., a leading electrical supplies distributor, is seeking an experienced and motivated Continuous Improvement Specialist with a focus on warehousing operations. This role is critical in supporting our ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs throughout our warehousing operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze and assess current warehousing processes to identify areas for improvement.
    • Utilize the A3 and Obeya process to understand problems, analyze root causes, and devise sustainable solutions.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of improvements.
    • Lead and assist cross-functional teams with a3 continuous improvement projects.
    • Implement cost reduction initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and overall profitability.
    • Work closely with warehouse management and operations teams to implement process improvements.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company objectives.
    • Utilize data analytics and other tools to drive data-based decision making.
    • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
    • Provide monthly report outs and presentations on project status and improvement results to senior management.
    • Develop and implement labor management strategies, including workforce planning, productivity analysis, and performance-based incentives, to optimize the utilization and efficiency of warehouse personnel.
    • Potential travel to other CDCs within 200 mi (Landover, MD)

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree: Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in continuous improvement, operations, or process engineering in a warehousing/logistics environment.
    • Strong knowledge and experience with the A3 process is a plus.
    • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a similar continuous improvement methodology is preferred.
    • Proven track record in leading successful continuous improvement projects and cost reduction initiatives.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
