- Analyze and assess current warehousing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize the A3 and Obeya process to understand problems, analyze root causes, and devise sustainable solutions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of improvements.
- Lead and assist cross-functional teams with a3 continuous improvement projects.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and overall profitability.
- Work closely with warehouse management and operations teams to implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Utilize data analytics and other tools to drive data-based decision making.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Provide monthly report outs and presentations on project status and improvement results to senior management.
- Develop and implement labor management strategies, including workforce planning, productivity analysis, and performance-based incentives, to optimize the utilization and efficiency of warehouse personnel.
- Potential travel to other CDCs within 200 mi (Landover, MD)
- Bachelor's degree: Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in continuous improvement, operations, or process engineering in a warehousing/logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge and experience with the A3 process is a plus.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a similar continuous improvement methodology is preferred.
- Proven track record in leading successful continuous improvement projects and cost reduction initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
