    Lead/Sr. Packaging Project Manager

    The Microsoft Consumer Marketing - Brand & Creative Lab is looking for an outstanding project manager with creative marketing experience, and with a proven track record of creative problem solving and a knowledge of creative marketing and office management tools (Adobe, Microsoft Office and an understanding of related file formats and the creative development process from start to finish).

    The position will partner closely with a wide range of internal teams to help ensure all parts and pieces are developed properly and on-time. The role will include work on new and upcoming product launches as well as ensuring sustaining programs are updated as needed and related visual assets are provided to the field.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the Senior Global Packaging Manager's efforts related to:
    • Overall creative development management for all new programs (develop, rout, approve, release)
    • Mapping schedules to new product launches
    • managing Premedia/PAC team support for all new programs.
    • Partner with ID, agency, PAC and other teams to deliver assets needed for packaging
    • Box shot creation
    • Creating and updating packaging guidelines
    • Packaging research initiatives
    • Budgeting
    • Agency management (development of creative briefs and cadence for reviews/approvals)
    • Cross functional management with internal partners and field engagement (Dev, NPI, Subs, etc..)
    • Provide brand packaging direction and input for all retail and commercial SKU BOM creation including scoping packaging artwork requirements, participating in SKU BOM reviews with configuration teams, submitting part requests, ECRs (Engineering change requests), and ECOs (Engineering change orders), and serving as the sole Brand Packaging reviewer of all Surface related ECOs (~ ECOs annually).Lead daily brand packaging and artwork production as needed
    • Provide brand packaging leadership for all artwork localization needs including reviewing all localized packaging artwork across 40 languages and 200+ countries, coordinating regional compliance requirements with Certifications teams, coordinating SKU name localization with Terminology team, triaging all packaging-related Sub marketing and partner team communications.
    • Premedia support/management in close partnership with our PAC team for all sustaining programs
    • Partner with ID/premedia to update product imagery and other assets as needed
    • LOC maintenance support
    • Box shot updates
    • Creative development problem solving/updates/support
    • Commercial packaging execution
    • B.SKU packaging execution
    • FDO packaging execution
    • Cross functional PM support/data management
    • Collection of packaging related data needed for retail, BDMs, etc...
    • Asset distribution (brand tools)
    • Develop a functional understanding of our global hardware and software portfolios
    • Maintain a detailed library of packaging resources including Artwork parts trackers, Codenames, language mixes, Keyset mappings, compliance requirements and availability by launch, and the like.

    Requirements:

    • 7+ years' experience supporting world-class brand management/marketing work related to packaging
    • Proficiency in executing creative solutions with internal/external partners.
    • Diverse and highly inclusive perspective a must
    • Outstanding organization and communication skills
    • Knowledge and experience in global packaging requirements (legal, compliance, supply chain, etc.).
    • Highly motivated self-starter, self-initiator with strong problem solving skills
    • Calm and respectful under pressure
    • Great time management and multi-tasking skills
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and constantly changing timelines
