    Description

    POSITION

    Immediate opening for a Physician Assistant with a minimum of 1 year experience (preferred) to join a progressive cardiothoracic surgical practice. This premier cardiothoracic group is involved in state-of-the-art surgical techniques in both Cardiac and Thoracic surgeries including TAVRs, MitraClips, ECMOs, LVADs, DaVinci lobectomies, and minimally invasive Maze procedures. The Physician Assistants are involved in all aspects of patient care, including first assisting in the operating room, seeing consults, post op care in the ICU and stepdown units, and call responsibilities. Prior surgical experience is required.

    HOSPITALS

    The Levinson Heart Hospital, located on the campus of CJW Medical Center, has been named Virginia's #1 Heart Hospital for three years in a row by HealthGrades. This ranking is due in part to the high volume of cardiovascular cases and record of positive patient outcomes.

    CJW Medical Center is the highest-volume hospital in the greater Richmond area. Each year it admits approximately 32,000 patients which resulted in 900 open-heart surgeries, 4,475 cardiac catheterizations, 596 vascular surgeries and 1600 endovascular patients.
