Cherry City Electricis accepting applications for a full-time VDC/BIM Engineer 2.
The VDC/BIM Engineer 2 will work in a team-oriented environment designing and drafting a 3D model of the electrical systems for coordination and electrical installation drawings for various types of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform coordination, detailing and modeling for the following electrical installations:
Underground Duct Bank Routing
Electrical Room Layouts
Overhead Conduit Routing
Seismic Bracing Installations
Concrete Slab Embeds, Sleeves and Blockouts
In-Wall Device Layouts
Trimble Layouts
Use of BIM for Prefab
RCP (including Light Fixture Layouts, Fire Alarm, Nurse Call and Security)
Requirements:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in coordination, detailing and modeling of electrical projects
Strong technical understanding of materials and methods used in the installation of electrical projects
Understanding of Oregon Building Codes and NEC
A good attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
Strong organizational skills
Field experience (not required, but added benefit)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Revit MEP, Navis & AutoCAD; overall proficiency/comfortability with computers and technology
