    Job Summary:
    The Sales Manager is responsible for proactively soliciting and finalizing all Meeting and Catering functions.

    Responsible for recommending program and procedural changes, soliciting, negotiating, and booking new and repeat business through efforts (outside sales calls, mailings, networking, etc.) while maximizing banquet space to meet/exceed revenue goals.

    Responsible for providing information relevant to revenue forecasts for meeting room and catering revenues for hotel forecasting and budgeting purposes.

    Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current, and potential clients.

    Plan, upsell, and detail all meeting and catering functions with the client including space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, etc.

    to maximize revenue and profit.
    Attain a working knowledge and awareness of the competition, business/hotel trends, and resources, in current and changing conditions.

    Maintain relationships with key accounts to increase customer satisfaction and overall account revenueArticulate and leverage hotel benefits to win opportunitiesContinually p rospect, research, and solicit new accountsProvide clear, necessary information to complete proposals, contracts, BEO, and other departmental responsibilities.

    Responsible for maintaining the integrity of Sales records and reports.
    Participate in BEO/Resume meetings and other operations meetings to ensure smooth transitions to program execution.

    Coordinate and ensure successful site tours through departmental communicationResponsible for the departments delivery of excellent customer service, ensuring programs and services consistently meet and exceed client expectations.

    Perform special projects or duties as requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing or General Manager.

    Follow sales account plans as developed in the annual Marketing PlanJob Requirements :
    Possess excellent selling and closing skills.
    Ability to provide exceptional customer service through the creative development and fulfillment of proposals and Business Agreements.
    Ability to achieve designated room and catering sales goal production.
    Ability to research, price, strategically plan and negotiate on the Hotel's behalf.
    Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and accomplish timeline objectives.
    Ability to evaluate business trends and apply/modify strategies to maximize revenues and profitability.
    Ability to develop, support, and implement effective Sales Action Plans.
    Skilled in prompt, assertive decision-making and problem-solving.
    Possess excellent reading, writing, verbal communication, and listening skills to effectively communicate with clients, business partners and team members.

    Possess exceptional math skills to cost out business opportunities, upsell, and effectively manage financial responsibilities of revenue and profit throughout the booking process.

    Ability to plan and facilitate personal sales calls, client entertainment, and site visits.
    Ability to network at professional industry events and/or travel on the Hotel's behalf.
