Seeking a dynamic Technical Director of Data Management Platform to lead the tactical development and execution of our data management strategies.
This individual will work closely with the Vice President of Digital Products to transform strategic visions into actionable plans, ensuring the alignment of the data management platform development with overarching digital product business goals.
The role demands a hands-on approach to both technology and in the managing of the data product lifecycle, from concept to launch, with a strong focus on analytics, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
. * Possess a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundational understanding of technical and business principles. * Bring at least 7 years of hands-on experience with data management technologies, showcasing a deep understanding of the field's complexities and nuances. * Have a solid grasp of Agile methodologies, evidenced by familiarity with tools such as Jira, to enhance project management and team efficiency. * Boast a background in data governance and quality frameworks, with a focus on developing products driven by data insights and analytics. * Show competency in data modeling and transformation using tools like DBT, Amazon Glue, or Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies. * Understand software engineering principles and best practices profoundly, with a skill to apply this knowledge to analytics code effectively. * Have experience with leading data warehousing technologies like Snowflake or Databricks and expertise in creating efficient data models. * Be knowledgeable in testing methodologies, data quality assurance, and anomaly detection to ensure data integrity and reliability. * Demonstrate familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN, including cataloging and documentation of analytics code. * Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to address and rectify complex data-related challenges.
