The Design Engineering Unit supports the Control Drive Mechanism Test Facility, the Large Component Test Facility, and Pump and Component Quiet Test Loop, which perform high pressure / high temperature testing, mechanism testing, pump testing, steam testing and more.

The successful candidate would perform software and hardware engineering for the Laboratory process control equipment and data acquisition equipment. Additionally, the candidate will design and implement power distribution and power electronics equipment for a state-of-art test facility.

The candidate would work with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, technicians, project managers, and vendors to deliver unique, one-off tests that support the Naval Reactors program.

Requirements:
BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of relevant experience or; MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of relevant experience
