    Description

    Position Summary:

    As a Banquet Houseman, you'll play a vital role in supporting the seamless execution of banquet events. Your behind-the-scenes efforts are instrumental in creating a memorable experience for our guests. Join our team and be an essential part of ensuring the success of our banquets and events.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up banquet and event spaces according to specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
  • Assist in the safe and efficient transportation of banquet equipment and supplies to event locations.
  • Support banquet staff by ensuring they have the necessary tools and supplies during events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in banquet areas before, during, and after events.
  • Assist with the setup and operation of audiovisual equipment, lighting, and other technical requirements.
  • Work closely with the banquet team to anticipate and address any event-related needs.
  • Monitor and respond to guest requests and inquiries during events with professionalism.
  • Collaborate with banquet managers and captains to ensure smooth event flow.
  • Assist in post-event cleanup and equipment breakdown, returning items to storage.
  • Uphold compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations throughout events.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of banquet equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in periodic training and development programs as required.
    Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a banquet houseman or setup role within the hospitality or event industry is beneficial.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy banquet equipment and furniture.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment and setup is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
