    LPN Methadone Dispensing Nurse

    Job Description:

    Position Type: Full Time Union

    Responsibilities:

    • Under the supervision of medical and registered nurses, provide care to individuals in residential programs.
    • Review client medical histories and assist in referrals to healthcare specialists.
    • Manage withdrawal symptoms and conduct health assessments for new clients.
    • Administer medications, maintain accurate records, and perform technical skills following protocols.
    • Collaborate with primary care physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal client care.
    • Participate in client referral, follow-up appointments, and emergency care as needed.
    • Document all medications in the electronic health record system.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma/GED and nursing program graduation proof.
    • Active LPN license in New York State, BLS certification, and infection control certification.
    • 3 years of practical experience in healthcare, knowledge of substance/alcohol dependence/use.
    • Training in chemical use, abuse, and dependence.
    • Mandated reporter certification before hire date and specialization in relevant health areas.
